Halloween Controversy

The first thing I want to say, is wow, this guy is totally out of his limits. Of course schools can ban Halloween costumes if they want to. It is in their rules, if they make it that way. Also if they allow them, they can set limits to them. It is in no way going against the students rights. Sure, he can say "zieg hile" all he wants to, but in this case, no hitler costume should be in schools.

The case of fairness to the other students, get over it, its one day, where you get to where a mask so your teacher wont see you staring at your 3rd grade crush in the seat next to you, or giving them a dirty look. Its really not a big deal.

Invisibility Cloak

If I was invisible, it would be the ultimate thing of all awsomeness ever. The first thing I would do... well thats kinda hard. It would be one of a few things. I would either do a couple things that would usually get me into trouble, sadly but, knowing how I think, I probably do those things. Then I would do something ive always wanted... I would hang around some people, no names, but I would see how they really talk about me, and I could probably figure out who are my real friends. That would probably the first thing I would do. It would definatly get my friend prioritys straight.

Memories

My memory I want to share, is one that is with my dad. The greatest thing that probably I can remember happening to me is when me and my dad found his old turn table and a bunch of his old records. We spent hours among hours going through them and listening to them. Of course he had ones that seemed old as the earth itself, but then we found some on the ones people die to get their hands on. It made for a good time, to just sit down with my dad, and what people could say was bonding. Im pretty sure it was the longest time I have ever spent with my dad alone, one on one, me and him. Now that he is gone, I really wish that I would have taken the opportunity to have more of these everlasting memories. So to the reader of this, if your parents are still with you, go to one, or both, or whoever is your "guardian" and give them a hug, and say.... I love you.

Bonfire

My thoughts on not having a bonfire, is of course the views of every other students. I think that the bonfire was a lasting tradition, that everyone looked forward to, but I know I can't change that. I really don't have any ideas to take place of the bonfire, but I really think that the parade will turn out the ways it should, so I guess we will have to see how the community and school responds to it.

10/14/08

I think there should be a law that says that the minimum drinking age is 18. I think this would be a good law because a point that came up in the Vietnam War. If you are old enough to fight for your country then you should be able to vote, this goes along with our rights as an American. I feel that it is the same with drinking. Now this is not saying that I am going to drink when I am 18, but if someone wanted to, then they should have that freedom. I know a lot of older people are going to look down upon this, but a lot of things are looked down upon, concerning your constitutional rights.
